Customer Portfolios is a power user of the ET ESP, with a goal of sending more than 250MM emails in 2009 on behalf of our clients. Our business is to help our clients execute customer centric, segmented lifecycle marketing. (A lifecycle being a set of stages such as: Acquisition - Growth - Best Customer - Retention.) This involves building an integrated customer database and marketing platform for customer analysis to identify customer segments, opportunity and predictive modeling.
We are a strategic marketing services company. Our goal is to become an integrated part of our client's marketing department. To do this, CP combines both right brain and left brain thinking: Right brain being strategic, creative, tactical and Left brain being data, technology, analytics.
The DB and platform are integrated with each of our client's customer touchpoints: store POS, catalog order management, ecommerce, customer service, promotions, events, etc. Leveraging this analytical insight we execute segmented targeted and measurable closed-loop marketing. This is done thru email, DM, text, phone, etc.
All email programs that Customer Portfolios executes are done via Exact Target. By leveraging the ET API, there is a tight integration between CP and ET that enables lists down to the cell and offer level to be pushed into the Exact Target Platform for an ease of execution.
In addition to one-off customer targeted programs, Customer Portfolios specializes in building automatic triggered email programs that are based on customer behavior (or lack thereof.) These programs are called 'Lights-Out' and will execute if there is a single targeted customer or a million that meets the criteria such as cross-sell, best customer recognition, lapsed customer that needs to be reengaged, etc. The name Lights-Out refers to the fact that these programs will be executed daily regardless if the office is open and the lights are on or if it is closed and all the lights are off.
