Sponsor. The Contest is sponsored by CareerBuilder, LLC ("Sponsor"), 200 N. LaSalle Street, 11th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601.
Eligibility. The Contest is only open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States plus the District of Columbia who are 18 years old or older as of the date of entry and who have a valid E-mail address. The Contest is not open to: (1) employees, independent contractors, officers, and/or directors of Sponsor, and Sponsor's respective parent, related, affiliated and/or subsidiary companies, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies or legal advisors and their respective officers, directors, agents, employees and assigns (collectively, "Released Parties") or (2) the immediate family members of, and persons living in the same household as, any of the foregoing persons. All federal, state and local laws apply.
How To Enter. No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win. There are two ways to enter: (1) A different question will be posted at: http://thehiringsite.careerbuilder.com each month. Each account user may submit only one answer or comment per entry. Subsequent entries from the same account user will not be considered or qualified for the random drawing. Answers must include entrant's name, age and valid E-mail address ("Online Entry"); (2) Without answering online, by writing your name, address, phone number, and valid E-mail address, and age on a 3"x5" card and mailing it in an envelope addressed to "CareerBuilder, Marketing Department", c/o Amy Chulik, 200 N La Salle, Suite 1100, Chicago, IL 60601 ("Official Entry Form"). Your entry will be submitted for the random drawing. How an entrant answers the quiz will have no bearing on the chances of winning the Contest. Everyone who submits an answer online or submits the Official Entry Form will be entered into the Contest.
Online Answers for month 1 will be accepted between 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time ("CST") on October 5, 2009 and 11:59:59 p.m. CST on October 9, 2009.
Online Answers for month 2 will be accepted between 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time ("CST") on November 2, 2009 and 11:59:59 p.m. CST on November 6, 2009.
Online Answers for month 3 will be accepted between 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time ("CST") on December 7, 2009 and 11:59:59 p.m. CST on December 11, 2009.
Online Answers for month 4 will be accepted between 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time ("CST") on January 4, 2010 and 11:59:59 p.m. CST on January 8, 2010.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, illegible, misdirected, incomplete or postage due mail/entries/requests. Sponsor will reimburse mail-in entrants for postage in states where required by law. Late entries, mechanically reproduced entries and facsimile entries are prohibited, and any use or submission of such entries will not be accepted. One entry per person, per quiz question, per week. Only your first entry will qualify for the drawing; all other entries will be disqualified. Contest entries are the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.
Use of automated devices is not valid for entry. Online Entries must include a valid E-mail address for the entrant. By submitting an Online Entry, entrants warrant and represent that the answers submitted for each quiz question is 100% their answer and that the answer provided will not violate any law or infringe upon the rights, title, claim or interest of any third party. Sponsor and the Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical, hardware, or software malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any E-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion, unavailable network connections on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Contest or downloading any materials in this Contest. By submitting an Online Entry, you agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules, the terms of the CareerBuilder Terms and Conditions, and the CareerBuilder Privacy Policy.
Selection of Winners: All Online Entries and mailed in Official Entry Forms that are received will be entered into a random drawing to select the winner or winners. Number of winners may vary each month.
Prizes and Conditions. Winners will be announced via e-mail the Wednesday following each Contest month's conclusion.

The Month One winners will receive a flip video camera (approximate retail value $164.99). Subsequent prizes will be determined at a later date. Contest prizes are not transferable. Federal, state and local taxes are the responsibility of the winners. Odds of winning a Contest prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. Any Contest prizes that are unclaimed will not be awarded. Limit one Contest prize per person. No prize substitution allowed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
By entering the Contest, entrants expressly agree to receive E-mail notifications from the Sponsor regarding the status of the Contest. Unless entrants indicate that they do not wish to receive newsletters and E-mail from the Sponsor, they may also receive Sponsor newsletters and E-mail regarding products and services and other information that might be of interest to entrants. Any expenses not stated herein (including, but not limited to, taxes or any other applicable fees or costs not expressly identified above that are related to the acceptance and/or use of the prize) are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winners.
Participation: Participation in the Contest constitutes an agreement by each entrant to comply with these Official Rules. These Official Rules will be posted at www.careerbuilder.com/thsrules between October 5, 2009 and March 1, 2009. Sponsor reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the Contest should any computer virus, bugs or other technical difficulty or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor or Released Parties corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contest.
Limitations of Liability: By entering the Contest, you agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (2) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney's fees; and (3) under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain any award for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses.
Warranty Disclaimer: Prizes are awarded "AS IS." Any and all warranties for the prizes are contained in the manufacturer's warranty. Except as otherwise provided in these Official Rules, Sponsor makes no warranties, representations or guarantees, express or implied, in fact or in law, respecting the performance or use of a prize, including, without limitation, quality, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose, and the winner shall look solely to the manufacturer for such warranties, if any. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing, or acts of any government or authority.
Construction: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of any entrant vis-à-vis Sponsor, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Illinois, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Illinois. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision was not contained herein.
General Release: By entering the Contest, you release and discharge Sponsor, and Released Parties from any liability whatsoever in connection with the Contest or with the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize including, without limitation, legal claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages, demands or actions of any kind (including, without limitation: personal injuries; death; damage to, loss or destruction of property; rights of publicity or privacy; and defamation or portrayal in a false light). Sponsor and the Released Parties will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the CareerBuilder.com "The Hiring Site's Monthly Contest." Additionally, you hereby agree to indemnify the Sponsor and the Related Parties from any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses, rights, claims, demands and actions (including attorney's fees and expenses for litigation and settlement), which may be brought against any one or more of them by anyone claiming to have suffered loss or damage as a result of my participation in the Contest.
