The Constellation Difference

The Constellation Difference is an employee-crafted philosophy which defines the values by which we govern ourselves inside and outside our organization. Constellation manages and contributes to a wide range of programs, donations, and grants to local organizations. In 2011, the company donated one percent (1%) of its earnings (before interest and taxes) to nearly 700 agencies and groups throughout the U.S. Further demonstrating its commitment to the communities it serves, in 2011 over 3,000 Constellation employees logged more than 61,000 volunteer hours at these and other organizations.

All of the sponsorship funds donated to Boston Arts Academy will directly support the school's vibrant programs for deserving students. Beyond the company's financial support, Vihann Kong, Constellation's Load Response Manager for New England, has joined BAA's 15-member Boston Marathon Running Team. On Marathon Monday, April 16, seventy Constellation employees will demonstrate their commitment to the community by volunteering at Mile 8 Hydration Station in Natick, MA, energizing thousands of passing runners. Continuing its support to the BAA, Vihann Kong and Christine Creager, Marketing Manager for New England, now serve on the school's Senior Grant Project Committee.

Energizing Arts Education

Founded in 1998 Boston Arts Academy (BAA), the city's only public high school for the visual and performing arts, prepares a diverse community of aspiring artist-scholars to be successful in their college or professional careers and to be engaged members of society. Because of its consistent success with urban teens - 94% of whom go on to college after graduating from BAA - the school is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the public education reform movement.
