Fannie Mae's Short Sale Resource for Listing Agents

The HomePath Short Sale Portal is a Fannie Mae resource for listing agents who are working with clients who are considering or pursuing a short sale on a property where Fannie Mae is the first lien holder.

Features of HomePath Short Sale Portal

  • Request list price guidance directly from Fannie Mae before listing your client's property.
  • Submit an accepted contract for loans owned by Fannie Mae.
  • View the status of your list price guidance requests or contracts you’ve submitted for review, retrieve required forms, and benefit from the 24-hr convenience and transparency of the system.

List Price Guidance*

  • If you request list price guidance through our HomePath Short Sale Portal, you will receive updates directly from Fannie Mae. This will keep you up-to-date on the status of your request.
  • You can expect a response that will help you make an informed decision before listing the property in a few weeks or less.

Submitting an Accepted Contract

  • For Fannie Mae owned loans, you can submit an accepted contract directly to Fannie Mae through the HomePath Short Sale Portal.
  • Listing agents can then check on the status of any contracts they have submitted at their convenience.
  • Notifications are sent directly to listing agents whenever there is an update on the status of submitted contracts or when an action is required on the part of the listing agent.

* List Price Guidance is only intended to be used as guidance in marketing the property regarding the potential value of the property. There is no guarantee that an offer submitted at or above the list price guidance will be approved by Fannie Mae.
